‘Paper Trails’, new from Lhouette, is a series of original mixed media artworks created by heavily layering paper compositions. The reworking of materials and imagery has played a big part in the artist’s studio practice over the years and these works continue to build on their history by repurposing archived paper works and stencil, finished off with the application of fresh portraits. If you look closely enough you can see previous works and projects from the studio embossed into the canvas. ‘Cola’ mixes iconic branding with Japanese calligraphy against a bold portrait of a woman with ‘Cola red’ lips. This framed original on paper measures 23 x 24”.
