The Story

IL Mondo è Nostro is an elegant and contemplative original sculpture by Andrea Roggi, measuring 22" x 17". Rising delicately from a textured spherical form, a finely branched tree reaches upward, its roots visibly entwined with the hollowed globe beneath. The composition speaks quietly yet powerfully of balance, responsibility and connection, suggesting humanity’s role as both guardian and beneficiary of the natural world. The turquoise patina, mottled with subtle bronze highlights, lends the work a sense of age and timelessness, while the open cavity within the sphere introduces fragility and introspection.

Andrea Roggi was born in Castiglion Fiorentino, in the heart of Tuscany, and his artistic journey bridges sculpture, painting and poetry. A formative moment came during his youth when he encountered Masaccio’s The Trinity in Florence, an experience that profoundly shaped his understanding of form and spiritual depth. He later trained under renowned sculptor Enzo Scatragli, mastering traditional sculptural techniques.

In 1991, Roggi established his own studio and foundry, allowing him full control over the creative process, from concept to casting and patination. Working in bronze using the lost wax method, his sculptures unite classical craftsmanship with a distinctive contemporary voice. A passionate advocate for artistic education, Roggi founded the Art for Youth movement and the Parco della Creatività, reflecting his belief in sculpture as a shared and uplifting human experience. His work is held in collections and exhibited internationally, standing as a testament to patience, skill and poetic vision.
