The Story
Roman Feral’s original sculpture Louis Vuitton Tresor Indonesia is a mesmerising fusion of haute couture and natural beauty, standing at 16" x 19". Encased within a clear glass vitrine, this captivating piece features a classic Louis Vuitton monogrammed trunk, its lid opened wide to reveal a kaleidoscope of butterflies emerging as if in flight. The butterflies, rendered in vivid shades of electric blue, deep black, and pure white, soar upward, symbolising freedom, transformation, and the fleeting nature of beauty.
The rich crimson interior of the trunk contrasts dramatically with the delicate wings of the butterflies, heightening the sense of preciousness and wonder. Feral’s meticulous craftsmanship blurs the lines between luxury object and fine art, creating a narrative where the ephemeral becomes eternal.
Roman Feral first rose to prominence at Art Basel Miami Beach in 2018, capturing the attention of collectors and galleries worldwide. His work has since been exhibited in prestigious venues such as Lotte New York Palace and Art Basel, with a collector list that includes the Kardashians, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Chanel. Feral is driven by a desire to create emotional connections through his art, combining nature and luxury in breathtaking harmony. For Feral, each butterfly embodies a timeless journey, forever in flight.
