The miniature people interact dynamically with the tape, pulling at its unraveled ribbon and moving across its surface, creating a visually compelling narrative.

Alan’s distinctive style portrays iconic faces and abstract forms using countless small figures, each uniquely detailed. His work is deeply personal, often including friends, family, and cultural icons. His large-scale mural From the Ground Up (Phoenix Rising) in Atlanta, Georgia, symbolises resilience, incorporating figures like Ted Turner and Margaret Mitchell.

His celebrity collaborations include Tom Walker’s What a Time to Be Alive album cover and a commissioned portrait of Emma Watson for Avon, celebrating influential female role models.
