Sweetie Treaty

The ‘Pop Panels’ collection of mixed media originals on board, from contemporary artist Lhouette, harnesses the concept that ‘more is more’ in the artist’s unique ‘maximalist’ approach to Pop art. Each piece recontextualises recognisable comic characters, consumer brands, digital emblems, and icons into grid-like art panels that mimic the visual assault of contemporary advertising. Each piece features a wealth of materials and techniques, which are combined to create unique layers of depth and impact. ‘Sweetie Treaty’ stars Tom, the angry yet endearing cat from the Hanna-Barbera classic cartoon ‘Tom and Jerry’, measures 15 x 15” and is presented in a hand-painted frame.
